Louisville Ballroom Dance Club hosts monthly dances to support the continued growth and excitement surrounding social ballroom dancing in the Louisville Area. With the popularity of shows like Dancing with the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance, recreational dancing has recaptured the hearts and minds of America, and we're happy to provide you with a place to explore and experience dancing firsthand.
About Our Dances
Our dances are held at the Kosair Shrine Temple in Downtown Louisville on Saturdays from 8:00-11:00PM. Exactly which Saturday varies from month to month, so check our calendar for the exact dates. Admission to our dances is $12 for non-members, $8 for members, and $6 for students with a current student ID. Dress code is dressy casual to business casual, generally. Attire that fits the theme of each party is encouraged, but certainly not required. We don't require reservations, so feel free to come to our dances at your leisure.Formal Membership
If you attend our dances regularly, you might consider formal membership at some point. Formal membership is a great way to get involved in making the social ballroom dance scene great, and save some money in the process. Membership dues are $25 annually, and will allow you to attend our dances for the discounted membership admission rate, and give you voting privileges on club matters. Once you attend half of our dances for the year, membership pays for itself, and then saves you money for each additional dance you attend. If you would like information about membership, contact our membership chairperson, or ask one of our greeters at the next dance.

We play the largest variety of music in town, covering eighteen different styles of ballroom dance. You're sure to find something you'll like in our mix. We provide cheat sheets at our dances as well, outlining the music that we will play for the night, along with song titles and dance style suggestions.
