USA Dance of Greater Louisville
USA Dance is the national organizing body for amateur competitive dancing in the United States. Our local chapter, USA Dance of Greater Louisville also hosts monthly dances and provides support to the competitive ballroom dance community, but caters to the social dancers as well. If you are a regular in the Louisville Dance Community, we recommend that you visit on of their dances, and look to them for additional information and resource, should you be interested in competition dancing.

Smooth Swing Louisville
Smooth Swing Louisville is a group of local dancers interested in the West Coast Swing style of dancing. They hold monthly dances which are strongly focused on music to which West Coast Swing can be danced, although the occasional waltz or foxtrot may slip in from time to time. If you're interested in West Coast Swing, you should spend a night at one of their dances to meet the members of their community.

The Louisville Swing Dance Society
The Louisville Swing Dance Society is dedicated to the preservation and teaching of vintage swing dancing styles from the 1920's and 1930's. They host a number of weekly dances around town at various local establishments, offering beginner and advanced lessons in Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Charleston, Balboa, and Blues dancing. For a taste of the original of swing dances, you'll want to try out one of their events.

The Derby City Bop Association
The Derby City Bop Association is dedicated to the preservation of bop, shag, and swing style dancing, and beach, bop, shag, and rhythm and blues music. They host a weekly lesson and dance at Jim Porter's Good Time Emporium, catering to both beginning dancers and long time dancers alike. Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag, Bop, East Coast Swing, and West Coast Swing are all examples of the sorts of styles you can expect to see and dance at their events.
